Meet Julie Miller, Pre-K Teacher:
Julie joined Beehive six years ago when her daughter enrolled and quickly became an integral part of the school community. She has served as a substitute teacher, enrichment teacher, and key contributor to Beehive’s innovative Sparkle School arts and project-based learning program.
With extensive preschool teaching experience in Austin, Texas, certification as a Tinkergarten leader, and an Elementary Education Certification from CU Boulder, Julie brings expertise, creativity, and passion to lead the Pre-K program.
She is dedicated to fostering creativity, confidence, and a love of learning in every child at Beehive.
Meet Shannah Porter, Preschool Teacher:
Shannah joined Beehive after being drawn to its play-based, cooperative model while searching for a preschool for her child. She began as a working parent, served on the board, and now brings her passion and expertise to the classroom.
Shannah has experience as a public school teacher specializing in children with disabilities, a Kinder music teacher, and a preschool teacher. She is currently training to become a Dyslexia Therapist, highlighting her commitment to research-based, child-centered education.
Outside the classroom, Shannah enjoys reading, writing, crafting, and spending time with her three children and their pets, and she is actively involved in the West University community. Her diverse experience and dedication make her a valuable part of the Beehive team.
Meet Anna Rosenblath, our Director:
Anna has been part of the Beehive community for over four years, starting as a parent, serving on the board, and now leading as Director. She brings a background in graphic design and marketing to enhance programs and outreach, and her fluency in Spanish opens the door to a potential Spanish enrichment program.
Anna holds a Director Certification, Child Development Associate credential, and has completed professional development through Rice University’s Literacy Program. Her dedication to ongoing learning ensures the school stays at the forefront of early childhood education best practices.
A longtime Houston resident, Anna enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her son and family, and is actively involved in the local community. Her experience, passion, and leadership make her an invaluable part of Beehive.
